How do I make an assessment required?

When issuing an assessment in HiBoop, you have the option to mark it as required. Required assessments are tools that will always be delivered to the patient at that point in care, regardless of their prescreen responses or symptom presentation.

When to use this feature

• Your clinic has a standardized intake protocol
• You need a specific assessment for insurance, funding, or compliance
• You want to ensure consistency across clinicians or programs

How to make an assessment required

1. Go to the Patient Profile and select the schedule (Intake, Check In, Discharge) that you would like to edit
2. Under Required Assessments, select the assessment(s) you want to always include
3. Save the schedule

Tip: We recommend using required assessments sparingly. HiBoop’s recommendation algorithm is designed to personalize assessment selection based on prescreen results. Overusing required tools may increase patient burden or reduce assessment efficiency.
