Setting up preferred assessments
Configure your clinic's default assessment tools for each condition domain so HiBoop recommends the right instruments automatically.

Preferred assessments are the default full-length instruments HiBoop assigns when a patient's prescreen results flag a specific condition domain. Setting these up ensures consistency across your clinic and avoids manual selection on a per-patient basis.
How to configure preferred assessments
- Go to Settings > Assessment Form
- Scroll to the Preferred Assessments section
- For each condition category listed (e.g., Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Substance Use), click the dropdown
- Select your preferred instrument from the available validated tools
- Click Save at the bottom of the page
Example configuration
| Condition domain | Common choice |
|---|---|
| Depression | PHQ-9 |
| Anxiety | GAD-7 |
| Trauma / PTSD | PCL-5 |
| ADHD | ASRS v1.1 |
| Substance use | AUDIT or ASSIST-3 |
Notes
- Preferred assessments apply clinic-wide, they affect all patients unless overridden manually on an individual assessment
- Clinicians can still swap instruments for specific patients when clinically appropriate
- If no preferred assessment is set for a domain, HiBoop will use its default recommendation based on the assessment library
For a full list of available assessments, see the Assessment Library.
