Prescreen questions (also known as screeners) are brief, standardized questions used to identify potential symptom areas without requiring a full assessment. At HiBoop, these questions power our recommendation algorithm, helping us guide users toward the most relevant assessments.

Absolutely! Care providers can set preferred assessments in two ways:

• Clinic-Level Preferences: Select your preferred assessments by condition within Clinic Settings.
• Patient-Level Preferences: Choose a preferred assessment through Focus Settings. While this won’t override the recommendation algorithm, it will prioritize your selected assessments at the start of the experience (following the prescreen).

This depends on the patient’s responses to the prescreen questions and related conditions. If a patient does not indicate symptoms related to a specific condition, the corresponding assessment may not be administered. We take comorbid symptoms into account, as to create the most comprehensive assessment possible. Our algorithm ensures that patients complete the most relevant assessments based on their individual experiences.

No, HiBoop preserves the original wording, order, and structure of all clinical assessments. These measures have been rigorously validated and developed by researchers, ensuring strong reliability and accuracy. Our platform administers each question and response exactly as it appears in its published form to maintain the integrity of the assessment process. This approach was carefully designed in collaboration with our clinical advisors.

HiBoop’s signature recommendation algorithm selects the most relevant assessments based on a short prescreen. You’ll first answer a series of standardized prescreen questions covering various mental health conditions. Based on your responses, we’ll recommend full assessments that best match your needs. For example, if you indicate feelings of anxiety, we may administer the GAD-7 or another validated anxiety measure.

Yes! Care providers have the option to disable the algorithm when issuing an assessment. Simply go to Assessment Details and uncheck the box labeled "Prescreen for all conditions."
