📝 What Are Prescreen Questions?
📝 What Are Prescreen Questions?
Prescreen questions—also known as screeners—are brief, research-informed prompts used to identify areas of concern before full assessments are assigned.
✅ Key Features
- Quick & standardized (completed in under 5 minutes)
- Based on validated screening criteria
- Covers multiple conditions, including:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Trauma
- Substance use
- ADHD
- Eating disorders
- And more
🔍 Why We Use Them
Prescreen questions allow HiBoop to:
- Reduce unnecessary assessment burden
- Personalize the experience
- Trigger the right assessments based on actual reported symptoms
🌟 Can I Select My Preferred Assessments?
🌟 Can I Select My Preferred Assessments?
Absolutely. HiBoop gives clinics and clinicians the flexibility to set preferred assessments for each condition or client type.
🏥 Set Preferences at the Clinic Level
- Go to Clinic Settings
- Navigate to Assessment Preferences
- Select your preferred tool(s) for each condition
Example:
- Anxiety → GAD-7
- Depression → PHQ-9
- Trauma → PCL-5
👤 Set Preferences at the Patient Level
- Open the patient profile
- Click Focus Settings
- Choose which assessments to prioritize
🧠 Note: Patient-level preferences will not override the recommendation algorithm, but will prioritize your selections when symptoms are detected.
❓Why Were Some Assessments Answered But Others Not?
❓Why Were Some Assessments Answered But Others Not?
Not all clients will complete the same set of assessments, and that’s by design. HiBoop's recommendation algorithm uses a personalized, symptom-driven approach to ensure each person only completes clinically relevant assessments.
🧠 How It Works
- Prescreen questions gather initial insights about the individual’s mental health.
- Based on the responses, only the most applicable assessments are selected.
- If no symptoms are reported in a certain area (e.g., disordered eating or substance use), those assessments are not shown.
🔄 We Account for Comorbidity
HiBoop’s algorithm is designed to consider overlapping symptoms across conditions. For example, symptoms like sleep disruption or irritability could appear in anxiety, depression, or trauma contexts—and HiBoop will recommend tools accordingly.
This ensures a comprehensive yet streamlined experience that saves time and reduces assessment fatigue.
🔍 Does HiBoop Modify Clinical Assessments?
🔍 Does HiBoop Modify Clinical Assessments?
No. HiBoop maintains the original wording, order, and scoring of each validated assessment to ensure clinical reliability.
🧪 Why It Matters
- Assessments like the PHQ-9, GAD-7, and PCL-5 are backed by extensive research and clinical validation.
- Altering the language or structure would invalidate results and compromise data quality.
- HiBoop ensures every assessment is delivered as published, respecting copyright and psychometric integrity.
🧠 Designed in collaboration with clinical advisors, our platform protects both data quality and clinical confidence.
🧠 What is the HiBoop Recommendation Algorithm?
🧠 What is the HiBoop Recommendation Algorithm?
HiBoop’s recommendation algorithm is a core feature that personalizes the assessment process while saving time for both clients and clinicians.
🔄 How It Works
- Start with a Prescreen
Clients complete a brief, structured intake that covers a wide range of mental health symptoms. - Smart Matching
Based on the answers, HiBoop’s algorithm identifies patterns and recommends the most relevant validated assessments. - Clinician Oversight
Clinicians can review, approve, or adjust the suggested assessments as needed.
🎯 Example
If someone reports trouble sleeping and frequent worry, the algorithm may suggest:
- GAD-7 (Generalized Anxiety)
- PHQ-9 (Depression)
- DASS-21 (Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale)
The goal is to capture the nuances of mental health while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
🛡️ Clinically Informed
The algorithm is designed in collaboration with clinical advisors and is grounded in DSM-based logic and research-backed symptom mapping.
